Item #: Vacuum Receivers
The most recognizable part of a pneumatic conveying system! VAC-U-MAX offers vacuum receivers for every bulk material application, from pre-engineered models for plug-and-play convenience to fully custom-engineered solutions for highly specialized or niche applications.
Vacuum receivers come in all different shapes and sizes. From 12″ to 60″ in diameter, 0.25 cubic feet to 500 cubic feet in capacity, vacuum receiver sizing depends on the bulk density and convey rate of the system.
There is no one-size-fits-all receiver. If anyone tries to suggest differently, walk the other way. Even our turnkey solutions come in multiple variations and will be configured, tuned, and tested to your exact specifications and materials. VAC-U-MAX receivers have three main body styles:
We offer vacuum receivers in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, finishes, and configurations. Below are just a few:
MINI HOPPER RECEIVER
Small but mighty! The Mini Hopper has a capacity of about 1/8 cubic foot and can convey material up to 500 pounds per hour. It’s great for use with recycling dry products in bakeries, loading tablet presses, and for loading low-rate filling machines for the packaging industry.
Features include a 1.25” or 0.5” diameter inlet; power source is a plate-mounted single venturi power unit with integral control panel with timer; 316L stainless steel; manufactured to meet USDA dairy and food inspection standards.
22″ VACUUM RECEIVERS
VAC-U-MAX 22” Diameter Vacuum Receivers offer one of the most versatile systems in vacuum conveying. Sizes range from 4 to 10 cubic feet in capacity. They can be configured for batch weighing, with explosion vents for explosive materials, rotary discharge valves, and large multifilter assemblies offering up to 100 square feet of filter.
Other features include a steep 70º offset cones design, full opening or butterfly discharge valves, removable material inlets, vibrator mount, rim-out design with no glued-in gaskets, and a suspension frame for easy installation. Available in carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and also in USDA sanitary construction.
TUBE HOPPER RECEIVERS
The straight-sided tube hopper is excellent for fast efficient handling of dry materials in a vacuum system, and is especially suited for non-free flowing materials.
The straight wall configuration and automatic discharge valve are the same size as the tube, permitting rapid passage of even the most difficult to handle non-free flowing material. With an extremely short discharge cycle, conveying is virtually continuous, making it great for speeding loading or batch transfer.
With no angular surfaces where material can bridge or hang up, discharge is positive and normally does not require auxiliary vibration or agitation. And the conveying operation is quiet, even with tough materials.
PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE VACUUM RECEIVERS
Pharmaceutical grade vacuum receivers are ideal for conveying powders and granulations to tablet presses, in gel cap conveyors, packaging lines, or any process that requires conveying of APIs, fillers, binders, and other pharmaceutical powders. Polished in and out to 180 grit, USDA accepted.
LARGE DIAMETER VACUUM RECEIVERS

VAC-U-MAX large diameter vacuum receivers range in size from 10 to 500 cubic feet. Standard sizes are 30″, 36″, and 48″ diameter. These are custom made vacuum receivers built specifically for your application. Available in carbon steel and stainless steel options.
Our Signature Series™ pre-engineered vacuum receivers are part of the full Signature Series™ line of pneumatic conveying packages—a family of easy-to-integrate vacuum conveying systems.
Each Signature Series system includes five core components: a vacuum receiver, pickup nozzle, tubing, vacuum producer, and UL-listed controls. These modular, flexible systems are ideal for both free- and non-free-flowing powders and granular bulk materials and are excellent for packaging equipment, refills, loss-in-weight feeders, OEM applications, and more.
Signature Series™ packages come in two main sizes. The 1500 Series is rated to move up to 1500 pounds (680 kg) per hour, and the larger 3500 Series handles up to 3500 pounds (1600 kg) per hour. Both series are highly customizable with standard and sanitary options, offset cone and tube hopper receiver variations, venturi- or electric-powdered vacuum producers, and a control panel configured for your process and ready to go on arrival.
