Overview

The Brains of a Vacuum Conveying System

If the vacuum pump is the heart of a pneumatic conveying system, the control panel is the brains, coordinating material movement, batching, automation, and processing. Even the simplest systems utilize a micro PLC to control convey, discharge, and pulse functions. More complex PLC control panels are furnished for more involved batch weigh systems and multi-ingredient handling systems.

VAC-U-MAX is a UL-certified designer and manufacturer of control panels. We offer both UL- and C-UL (cUL) certified panels. Each control panel is constructed for the application to keep the system streamlined, safe, and user friendly. Tie-in capabilities are also available to integrate with existing control systems.

Not Just for Pneumatic Conveying

Control panels are also use in aero-mechanical and flexible screw conveying to manage, automate, and optimize material transfer, with controls as simple as speed to more complex tasks like automated batch conveying.

In the gallery above, you will find a photo of an Aerocon control panel that features a Micro Logic programmable controller that controls the motors, reverse jet filter, lump breaker, and screw feeder of a bulk unloading system for paint production. It is housed within a Z-purged enclosure that employs positive pressure within the panel to protect against explosion risk.
