Item #: MDL3302
The Model 3302E Vacuum Loader is perfect for industrial facilities and industrial cleaning contractors that require the power to move mountains of powder with a single skid-mounted portable system.
The VAC-U-MAX Model 3302E Vacuum Loader is perfect for industrial facilities and industrial cleaning contractors that require the power to move mountains of powder with a single skid-mounted portable system. It is designed for the fast clean up of conveyor spillage, broken bulk bags, overfilled or clogged process vessels or residual material in storage silos, and other heavy-duty applications.
This unit is highly mobile due to its jack-leg filter separator that raises into position for high-volume recovery, and then lowers to a transport position for movement through a 10ft overhead door. It can be used with intercept hoppers, vacuum-tight roll-offs, or for direct loading of bulk bags, or drums.
The 3302E Vacuum Loader is intended for use in the collection of large volumes of dry powdered or granular materials. It is offered with various power sources ranging from 20HP to 40HP. The system will collect this debris from one (1) 4” ID vacuum hose, or multiple smaller-diameter hoses. This model is designed for collection and filtration of the dry powders from the conveying air, for ultimate discharge into one of the following material handling devices:
• 55- U.S. Gallon Steel Drums
• Bulk Bags (a.k.a. super sacks) with loading spouts
• Other customer containers or hoppers (contact VAC-U-MAX for recommendations to capture
fugitive dust during discharge)
The Model 3302E Vacuum Loader may also be utilized with an intercept device such as vacuum-tight roll-off container or lugger hoist, or a VAC-U-MAX intercept hopper. The use of an intercept hopper extends the continuous vacuuming time, and therefore the recovery rate for materials, by reducing the frequency of emptying.
Filter Separator (10” x 36”)
The filter separator for this system is cylindrical design with jack-up legs to allow for a lowered transport position and raised operating position. The discharge cone is fitted with an aeration assembly to promote the discharge of the powder from the receiver. The flow promotion operates simultaneously with the discharge function. The radial inlet is a 4” camlock adaptor with abrasion-resistant wear plate tangential inlet. There are nineteen (19) filter elements and they are accessed through two (2) hinged bulkhead-style doors with captive hardware. The filters are pulse-cleaned automatically on a timed basis as long as the vacuum system is operating.
The 3302E may utilize pleated bag filters, sock-type filters, or cartridge filters. The standard filter
media is PTFE (Teflon) – coated, with optional static-conductive media available for hazardous
locations. Other types of filter media may be supplied for your specific conditions. The 3302E is equipped with a differential pressure gauge for the primary filters in order to indicate the filter condition.
Discharge Valve Assembly
The Model 3302E may be supplied with one of the following types of discharge valves with their
respective mode of discharge and actuation:
• Wafer (a.k.a. butterfly) valve, batch-type, manual or pneumatic
• Slide or roller gate valve, batch-type, manual or pneumatic
• Rotary valve, continuous discharge, electric motor driven
• Dump valve, batch-type, pneumatic operation
Optional Drum Loading
Your Model 3302E may be equipped with a flex sleeve and drum adaptor cover for 55-gallon drums. The drum cover may be fitted with a high-level probe to sense the level of material in the drum and to prevent over-filling.
Optional Bulk Bag Loading Assembly
Your Model 3302E may be equipped with an integral bulk bag loading assembly with the filter separator. This Assembly includes features such as (4) bag support arms with restraining cords and hooks, an empty bag inflation unit to promote complete filling of new / empty bulk bags (including bags with liners), bag neck inflation to restrain the bag neck, and a fugitive dust-sock for safe venting of displaced air from the Bulk Bag. The bulk bag loading assembly may also be fitted with a high-level probe to sense material level in the bulk bag and to prevent overfilling.
Vacuum Power Source
The vacuum power source is a positive-displacement vacuum pump. The drive for this unit is a 3- phase/ 230/440-volt TEFC motor. A filter cartridge provides secondary (safety) filtration for the vacuum pump in case of a failure in the primary filter assembly, or for build-up of super-fine particles that may penetrate the filter media over a log period of time. The pump may be equipped with differential pressure instrumentation (with optional Auto Shutdown). The vacuum pump on the 3302E is equipped with a pneumatic vent valve to allow the vacuum pump to idle during discharge, for ease of start-up, and to vent the filter housing. Material discharge is expedited when the receiver is vented to atmosphere and it also promotes more effective filter cleaning when the filters are “relaxed”.
Controls—Control Panel
The main control for this system is mounted integrally on the 3302E frame and it is pre-plumbed to all electric and pneumatic devices on the vacuum. The control panel is housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure and is equipped with a filter/regulator/gauge package for single-point pneumatic and electric connection. The main CP includes a main power disconnect, motor starter, step-down transformer for120V control power, a mini-PLC for shut-down and control functions and internal solenoids.
Forklift Frame
The 3302E Vacuum Loader is a unitized design with the ability to be installed for stationary operation and connected to a central vac tubing or piping network, or it can be used as a portable system and moved by forklift. We recommend a minimum 5,000-lb capacity forklift with minimum 8-ft long forks. In the portable mode, the same forklift would be used to raise the filter separator body into its operating position, and lower it into its transport position. In the transport position, the 3302E is 9’8” (116” / 2,950mm) high to allow its movement through a 10’ (120” / 3,050mm) overhead door opening.
