Efficiently fill bulk and semi-bulk bags (FIBCs, Super Sacks) with dry bulk materials like powders, grains, or chemicals for high-volume storage, transport within your process line, or distribution. Bulk bag loading is also an excellent option for collecting waste from central vacuum systems.

Overview

Bulk bags (FIBCs, Super Sacks) have been a game-changer in logistics and manufacturing, maximizing shipping space, offering efficient, high-volume storage, and lowering the weight and cost of packaging. A typical 48×48″ bulk bag (FIBC, Super Sack) will handle 64 cubic feet of material, close to 9x that of a 55 gallon steel or fiber drum.

VAC-U-MAX Bulk Bag Loaders have been engineered to maximize these advantages, offering a clean, efficient way to quickly and safely move large quantities of material to, from, and in between processes.

Our bulk bag loading systems are highly customizable, with frame and accessory options as well as custom-engineered solutions. We can adapt systems, supply ancillary equipment, and integrate your OEM equipment to deliver fully a integrated solution for your exact application—all with factory acceptance testing (FAT) and guaranteed performance.

Models

Our systems are highly customizable with multiple frame configurations and accessory options as well as custom-engineered solutions. We have two frame designs offered as standard:

MODEL 104130A

  • MDL104130A models are built on a sturdy welded frame of 3-inch square tubing with telescoping leg extenders. This frame can be adjusted in height to handle bags from 36 to 72-inches tall.
  • Welded tubular frame with telescoping leg extensions for loading bags from 36 to 72 Inch high. One Inch increments of adjustment.
  • If you want to add a weighing feature, a 10,000 lb. capacity platform scale can be mounted between the four legs.

MODEL 104130B

  • MDL104130B frames are also constructed of rugged tubing, but the legs are bolted in place. This variation features an internal weigh frame with four load cells and summing box along with a weigh meter and control panel. The deck of the weigh frame can be raised and lowered to accommodate different size bags.

SPECS & FEATURES

  • Neck Damp: Simple bungee cord bag neck damp. Can handle any size bag neck
  • Bag Neck Collar: The bag neck collar is an inflatable cuff that secures the bag and bag liner to the fill head, preventing fugitive dust from escaping.
  • Bag Inflation Device: The empty bag inflation device will inflate newly installed bags and bag liners ensuring that they are fully opened—essential to ensure maximum filling. This device is powered by a single venturi power unit with manual air control to provide clean, low-pressure air.
  • Bag Restraint Hooks: Bulk bag loaders are equipped with four arms with hooks, ropes, and jam cleats to support the loops (or ears) of the bulk bag. These do not hold the bag up; they secure the loops to keep the bag fully open and expanded for filling.
  • Operator Control Station: Conveniently mounted on one of the four bag support arms, the operator control station controls bag neck collar (inflation and deflation) and the bag inflation device.
  • Displaced Air Vent: When bulk bags are being filled, air is displaced. Our displaced air vent ensures that the air and dust are collected right back into the system to a fugitive dust sock. Collected dust will fall back down the hose and into the bag, ensuring maximum filling, minimal waste, and minimizing fugitive dust. (Vent sock has an interior PTFE-coating to capture dust particles down to 1 micron.)
  • High-Level Probe: The level of material in a bulk bag can be measured by either weight (scale) or volume (probe). The VAC-U-MAX high-level probe is a high-level switch that prevents overfilling by sensing volume. Our unique probe design is specially mounted to be safely removed for inspection without the need for tools or disconnecting wires. Various types of level switches are available for different types of material. Optional platform scales and load cells are also available to monitor the weight of the bag as it fills.
  • Optional Platform Scale: An optional platform scale will weigh the bag as it’s being filled, with a weigh meter transmitting the value to the control panel. This feature will shut down the vacuum system or discharge valve when the bag reaches the preset weight. This option is preferred for materials with very low bulk density or materials which are difficult to measure by volume with contact-type level probes.

  • Versatile Design: VAC-U-MAX Bulk Bag Loaders are modular and can be easily retrofitted to existing dust collectors and central vacuum systems. They can be supplied with various flange patterns to accommodate all types of discharge valves. A wide variety of filling devices can also be accommodated (not included in base pricing).
  • Construction: Carbon Steel, pearl gray epoxy coated. Product contact parts are standard in 304 stainless steel.
