VAC-U-MAX has designed a number of bulk bag loading frames for different applications and will aggressively respond to all bulk bag loading opportunities. Two frames are offered as standard MDL104130A and MDL1041308. In general, the frames from VAC-U-MAX are simple, sturdy frames of square tubular construction with four legs and permitting a great number of loading options, including the supports for these. A simple bungee cord bag neck damp offers a major advantage in being able to seal any bag neck from 13-inch diameter to 24-inch diameter without changing the bag neck spout. An inflatable cuff, which is common on competitive units, is offered as an option. The disadvantage of this device is that a single size cannot accommodate a wide range of bag necks. The versatile and simple single venturi power unit with venturi discharge provides a source of low-pressure air for bag inflation. A filter for the air displaced from the bag Is standard.
MDL104130B is also constructed of rugged tubing, but is of bolted constriction and features an internal weigh frame with four load cells and summing box along with a weigh meter and control panel. Adjustment for different size bags is accomplished by raising or lowering the deck of the weigh frame.
MDL104130A is a simple welded frame of 3-inch square tubing with telescoping leg extenders so that this frame can be adjusted in height to handle bags from 36 inches tall to 72-inches tall. If weighing Is to be accomplished, a 10,000 lb. capacity platform scale is mounted between the four legs.
Welded tubular frame with telescoping leg extensions for loading bags from 36 to 72 Inch high. One Inch increments of adjustment.
Bag loading spout with bag inflation port and exhaust port with filter.
Simple bungee cord bag neck clamp: Can handle any size bag neck.
Single venturi power unit with manual air control provides low-pressure air for bag inflation.
A wide variety of filling devices can be accommodated (not included in base pricing).
Construction: Carbon Steel, pearl gray epoxy coated. Product contact parts are standard in 304 stainless steel.
Bag Neck Inflation: Eliminates fugitive dust from filling

Empty Bag Inflation: Maximizes filling capacity of the bag. Bulk Bags, particularly bags with lines, must be inflated (when empty) in order to maximize the filling capacity of the bulk bag.
The Empty Bag Inflation Manifold features an Inlet Filter that fills the bulk bag with clean air. The lower hose shown in the photo to the left is the air supply hose for bag neck inflation. |
Bag Restraint Loops: Maximizes bag filling capacity by keeping 4 corners of Bulk Bag under slight tension
Operator Control Station: Controls bag neck inflation and deflation, and empty bag inflation. Conveniently mounted on one of the four bag support arms.
Displaced Air Vent: Removes dust from displaced air, allowing it to "drain" back into the bulk bag. Vent sock has an interior PTFE-coating to capture dust down to 1-micron particle size.
Flexible & Convenient: VAC-U-MAX Bulk Bag Loaders are modular and can be easily retrofitted to existing dust collectors and central vacuum systems. They can be supplied with various flange patterns to accommodate all types of discharge valves.
Optional High-Level Probe: The level of material in a bulk bag can be measured by weight or volume. VAC-U-MAX has engineered an accurate way to prevent overfilling a bulk bag by volume with a high-level switch and unique probe design. The tool-free mounting arrangement allows the probe to be safely removed for inspection without disconnecting wires. Various types of level switches are available for different types of material. Optional platform scales and load cells are available to monitor the weight of the bag as it fills.
Optional Platform Scale: An optional platform scale will weigh the bag as it is being filled. A weigh meter will provide the output
signal to the VAC-U-MAX control panel to shut down the vacuum system, or discharge valve when the bag reaches the preset value. A platform scale is preferred for materials with very low bulk density or materials which are difficult to measure by volume with contact-type level probes.
Optional Bulk Bag Enclosures:
Bulk Bag Loaders offer a bulk material handling advantage when compared to steel or fiber drums or tote boxes.
Collection Capacities:
30-Gallon (114 Liter) Steel or Fiber Drum | 4.0 cu. ft (0.11 m3) |
55-Gallon (206 Liter) Steel or Fiber Drum | 7.3 cu. ft (0.21 m3) |
48" (1220 mm) Square x 48" Tall (1220mm) Tote Box | 64 cu. ft (1.80 m3) |
48" (1220mm) Square x 48" Tall (1220mm) Bulk Bag | 64 cu. ft (1.80 m3) |
48" (1220mm) Square x 72" Tall (1830mm) Bulk Bag | 96 cu. ft (2.70 m3) |
Facilities that receive raw materials in bulk bags can re-use the emptied bulk bags. Some facilities do not have provisions for handling steel or fiber drums. Disposal of a filled bulk bag is dust-free when loading a roll-off container.
